I got to do a super fun cake and cupcakes for a Minnie Mouse birthday party a while back! I made everything the night before since it had to be delivered in the morning. Everything had turned out so cute and I was so excited to give it to the cute little birthday girl. That morning, I woke up to find that all of my Minnie Mouse cupcake ears had melted!! EEK! I had to hurry and make them again, this time with no fondant and all gumpaste so that they would dry quickly. Luckily, I had gotten up rather early that morning. They finished drying and I got the ears on just in time. The cake and cupcakes were a hit!

Rose cake in a hurry!
So, this has NEVER happened! I wrote down the delivery date wrong!! Luckily, the lady who ordered it from me sent me a text in the morning to confirm the time of delivery. I just happened to be visiting family about an hour away from home and the cake had to be delivered within a few hours! (needless to say I had to skip a few corners.) I rushed to the store to gather supplies (rebuying things that I had already bought because I wasn't at home to use them!), threw the cake together, and drove an hour to deliver it RIGHT on time. Phew. Stressful. I hope she was happy with it!
Please excuse the weird pictures...I really didn't have time to do a photo shoot. :)

TMNT!
Kowabunga dude! I grew up with the Ninja Turtles so I was pretty excited when I got asked to decorate a TMNT cake for a birthday party. I had a lot of fun molding their little heads out of fondant and especially enjoyed practicing the frosting technique on the side of the cake.
Lady Bug Smash Cake!
This was my first ever "smash cake". I couldn't help but get extra excited about this one as I thought of a cute, chubby little baby digging her hands into it and probably trying cake for the first time. How fun is it that my cake will be in her home videos or in her first photo album? The theme was lady bug and I LOVE how it turned out. Such a fun cake to make.
P.S. this is the first cake I did post pregnancy! Feels good to be back.

Julie and Randy Watson Wedding
Preparing for this wedding was SO stressful! Things kept going wrong and I was sure that nothing was going to turn out right. The night came and everything looked and tasted great! The desserts were a hit. I am so happy that I was able to be apart of Julie and Randy's special day.
Congratulations Randy&Julie!
9MM gun cake for Justine's 10th birthday!
10 year old Justine may be a sweet looking, cute little girl, but don't let that fool you! She is one tough gal! Not only does she have some killer karate skills, but she loves to shoot her 9MM! After the order for Justine's gun cake came in, I checked out a video of her at the shooting range. That cute little girl was hitting every target with incredible accuracy. I would NOT want to mess with her! This cake was so fun to make! It was for a surprise party that took place at the shooting range where Justine practices. I was nervous about making the gun because I wanted it to look as much like Justine's real gun as possible. I think it turned out pretty good! Wish I could have been there for the surprise-hope she loved it!! Happy birthday Justine!!

Super Why!
I have to admit, I had no idea who this cute little guy was until I was asked to make a cake with his face on it. This "Super Why" cake was for a three year old boy's birthday party. When his mom ordered it, she said he insisted on having the face on top of the cake because Super Why is his favorite TV show. (so cute!) I hope he loved it!
